I am a fan of innovation. My favorite online Bible research site, Bible Gateway, has a new, crisp interface.
I do still like to turn the pages of my “real” Bible. But when I want to do research online, I appreciate the ease and depth of Bible Gateway. The new interface simplifies the selection of the many resources available on the website. Drop-down menus contain options for searches, research tools, devotional plans, and more.
Tools to explore…
Look up a Bible passage. Type in a passage reference and let Bible Gateway retrieve the Scripture verses. With a couple clicks of your mouse, you can change the Bible version for easy comparison for meaning.
Use Commentaries, Dictionaries, and Encyclopedias. Click the blue “More Resources” button in the top right. A new menu displays multiple research tools. I’ve been known to lose entire days meandering through wisdom and scholarly analyses.
Sign-up for a Devotional. Sometimes I struggle with maintaining devotional time with the Lord. Once subscribed, Bible Gateway sends meditations directly to my inbox. Some devotionals are daily, others arrive weekly.
Fellow Faithful Bloggers. I am deeply honored that you read my blog! I’d like to introduce you to dozens of other bloggers who also wrestle with living a God-honoring life. Their writing inspires me and challenges me. Consider spending some time with these friends of mine.
Study on Mobile Platforms. Do you use a smart phone or a tablet? Download the Bible Gateway mobile app. You gain access to all of the resources whether you are at work, at church, at your small group meeting, or waiting for your child in the school parking lot.
Have you explored the Bible online? Now is a good time embark on the journey!
