Adversity: Carrots, Eggs or Coffee

Adversity enters our lives. None escape.

When the stress presses in, we react in different ways.

I recently came across a lovely video that illustrates responses. May I invite you to watch this 5-minute parable? (If it has trouble loading, press your “f5” key to refresh.)

Which one are you? A carrot, an egg or a coffee bean??

May the Lord work through you to season and flavor life in the midst of adversity.

Author of parable is unknown.

Thank you Sharon. I think I have been both the carrot, and the egg. I am currently trying to follow ‘the great cloud of witnesses’… and be a coffee bean. Blessings, Susan

Be the coffee bean, Susan! You also bring up a really good point…sometimes, we are the carrot and sometimes the egg. Hopefully, we all grow to be the coffee bean mostly. :-)
