Are you a risk-taker?

How much risk are you willing to take??

The heart-pounding, adrenaline rush of this video reminds me that I am NOT that much of a physical risk-taker! Some of you, however, may be contacting the nearest high-adventure outfitter with a few new ideas. :-)

What about faith?

Are you a risk-taker when it comes to Jesus and His heart-pounding message of love?

Simon Peter and Andrew risked their livelihood…
The Centurion risked his beloved servant’s life …
The man at Gadarenes risked his sanity …
Jairus risked his daughter …

His followers today continue to risk livelihood, life, sanity and family for the power of Jesus’s message.

What about you and I?

I am humbled by the risks people take to share the gospel message. I am embarrassed by my comfortable life and occasional “uncomfortable” moments when talking about Jesus.

This summer will be different. I have A LOT to say!

Won’t you join me and…

risk embarrassment to share about your faith …
risk rolling eyes when you talk about Jesus …
risk “lost time” by serving at the local food pantry …
risk lost income by supporting an orphan …
risk the comforts of home to take a week to go and serve with a full-time missionary

I want to be more of a faith-filled risk-taker!

I love the video clip… I just wish my body were able to cooperate in some of those events.

Good questions, Sharon – I feel this way about blogging in general. It’s a risk to put myself out there and say potentially dumb things on a regular basis!

That is so true, Barb! In our efforts to live and share “out-loud”, we do indeed risk much. I’m immensely grateful for grace and encouragement!
